Welcome
We welcome you to the family dental practice of Dr. Holly Lane. We believe caring for the health of your teeth
is one of the most important things you can do for yourself. Our concept of professional dental care goes
beyond providing you with the latest technology. We practice a “golden rule” and “no hurt” philosophy. We think
you will be pleased with the atmosphere this creates.
Your First Visit
During the initial visit, adults will receive a video exam and see what the doctor sees on a TV screen. X- rays
and periodontal gum evaluation will be completed. Dr. Lane will then be able to determine if any areas need
treatment and if a regular cleaning is indicated or if a scaling is required to treat gum disease. Incidentally,
between 70-90% of all adults have some form of gum disease and are often unaware of it since it is not
painful initially. The appropriate type of hygiene visit will then be scheduled for your next appointment.
Together, you and Dr. Lane will discuss the priorities of your treatment.
Appointments
We understand your time is valuable and we make every effort to begin treatment on schedule. If you need to
change your appointment, please call our office 48 hours in advance, so that your reserved time may be
offered to another patient.
Conscious Sedation
For those patients who are dental phobics, we offer conscious sedation in a safe and convenient tablet
dosage. You will be able to take a cat nap while your dentistry is completed. Your vital signs will be monitored
while you snooze. Upon awakening, treatment will have been completed without stress and anxiety.
Specialty Care
We offer many services here, including cosmetic veneers, implant dentistry, extractions and root canals. Dr.
Lane works closely with a wide range of specialists when it is necessary to take advantage of their advanced
skills.
Follow-Up and Emergency Care
We strongly believe in preventative care in order to keep future dental needs to a minimum. Therefore, it is
critical that your dentistry be properly cared for after completion. We maintain a follow-up system for our
patients to have regular examinations and cleanings tailored to their needs. We also attempt to take care of all
of your needs in a timely manner. In the event of an emergency, contact the office for an appointment or if after
hours, instructions on reaching Dr. Lane. Should an emergency occur and you are unable to reach Dr. Lane,
any emergency room can assist you in pain management until you can be scheduled.

About Dr. Lane
Dr. Lane moved here in 1970 after her father retired from the U.S. Air Force as a pilot. After receiving a
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing in 1974, she worked as an emergency room nurse for 15 years. Dr. Lane
earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center of San
Antonio in 1991. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Texas Dental Association and the
San Antonio District Dental Society.
